Day 4 comes to an end…

It’s been a few good days of detoxing on the South Beach. No complaints. Sticking with salad and lettuce wraps for lunch and for dinner:

Wed: scallops on salad

Thur: hamburger lettuce wraps with homemade salsa

Fri: Tuna steaks with asparagus

Sat: teriyaki diced chicken lettuce wraps with broccoli and water chestnuts, side salad

Seeing a pattern here? Yup, lots of greens and not lots of sugar and carbs.

If you’re an active person like me, I don’t advise working out the first several days. Give your body a rest and let it get used to the change in sugar level. That said, I had a great 4-mile run yesterday and felt good.

Not heeding my own advice, I pushed it and had a workout this morning. It was awful. Been dragging the remainder of the day. In fact, I’m ready for bed…
