Pats running up the score?

Maybe yes, maybe no. All the banter aside, Randall Gay (corner back for the New England Patriots), offers his reaction on an ESPN radio show. See the transcript here.

But ponder this: should the vaunted 1985 Chicago Bears defense been criticized for only allowing 11 points per game. When they beat the Redskins in week 3 45-10 surely they could’ve caved and let John Riggins get a cheap TD? Or when the Bears dismantled the Cowboys in week 11 and held Tony Dorsett in check, they shoulda let him get one measly TD, right? After all, no one wants to be embarrassed..

Just a few random thoughts on the week where the Pats are 23 point favorites and no other college football game has a higher point spread. Got to be a first. It’s got to be.
